“Delhi Elections 2025: Congress Launches ‘Yuva Udaan Yojana’ with ₹8,500 Monthly Aid and Apprenticeships for Unemployed Youth”
Delhi Elections 2025: With the Delhi Assembly polls nearing, Congress has rolled out its third major campaign promise to woo voters. The party introduced the “Yuva Udaan Yojana,” committing to provide unemployed youth with a monthly stipend of ₹8,500 for one year, alongside a year-long apprenticeship program aimed at skill development and boosting job opportunities.
This initiative adds to Congress’s earlier promises, including the “Pyari Didi Yojana,” which ensures ₹2,500 in monthly financial aid for women, and a ₹25 lakh insurance scheme for every resident of Delhi.
Congress’s Third Guarantee: Empowering Unemployed Youth
On January 12, Congress unveiled its third major poll promise aimed at tackling unemployment. Senior leader Sachin Pilot announced the initiative during a press briefing, emphasizing its focus on supporting educated but jobless youth. The program offers a combination of financial assistance and practical training to enhance employability and help secure jobs.

The announcement was attended by prominent leaders, including Delhi Congress President Devendra Yadav, state in-charge Qazi Nizamuddin, and NSUI President Varun Chaudhary.
Key Features of the Yuva Udaan Yojana
- ₹8,500 Monthly Stipend: Financial assistance for unemployed youth, provided for one year.
- One-Year Apprenticeship Program: Practical training aimed at enhancing skills and boosting employability.
While unveiling the scheme, Sachin Pilot underscored Congress’s commitment to tackling unemployment and promoting skill development. He took aim at the ruling AAP government and the BJP, criticizing their failure to deliver meaningful progress for Delhi. “In recent years, Delhi has been caught in a cycle of blame games and unfulfilled promises. Congress is here to bring genuine change,” Pilot stated.
Congress’s Previous Poll Promises
The Yuva Udaan Yojana is the third major commitment by Congress, building on two earlier promises:
- Pyari Didi Yojana: A scheme providing ₹2,500 in monthly financial assistance to women.
- Universal Insurance Plan: A ₹25 lakh insurance coverage for every Delhi resident.
Delhi Congress Chief Devendra Yadav criticized the AAP and BJP for neglecting key issues like corruption and rising crime rates. “Both parties have turned Delhi into a hub of inefficiency and mismanagement. Congress is entering this election with unwavering determination to bring real solutions,” he declared.
The Delhi Assembly Elections will be held in a single phase on February 5, 2025, with vote counting scheduled for February 8. Congress aims to return to power by presenting clear, people-focused policies to voters.
