JEE Main 2023: National Testing Agency (NTA) has restored the Class 12 performance criteria of 75 per cent to qualify JEE Main 2023, which will be conducted in two sessions between January 24-31 and April 6-12, notice for admission As per brochure.
The qualifying marks for general category candidates will be 75%, for SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks will be 65%. NTA has also announced dates for other major undergraduate admissions from NEET to CUET-UG.
All categories of candidates are required to qualify in each subject of class 12 or equivalent qualifying examination to clear JEE Main.
The registration fee for the exam has also been extended for all categories of candidates. The fee has been increased from Rs 650 to Rs 1,000 in case of general category male candidates. Female candidates will now have to pay Rs 800 as compared to Rs 325 earlier.SC/ST/PWD and third gender candidates will have to pay Rs 500. Earlier it was Rs 325. The exam will be conducted at 399 centers in India and 25 centers abroad. JEE Main 2022 was conducted across 501 centers in India, while 13 overseas centers were set up.
Meanwhile, NTA has also announced the dates for other major undergraduate admissions from NEET to CUET-UG. While NEET will be conducted on May 7, CUET-UG will start from May 21. It will be conducted in multiple sessions till May 31, details of which will be shared later.
