The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the last date to register for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2025 is November 22, with no extensions to this deadline. However, applicants who submit their forms on time will have the opportunity to make corrections during a designated window from November 26 to 27.
Candidates planning to appear for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 must complete their registration and submit their application forms on or before the deadline. It is strongly recommended to register well ahead of the last date to avoid potential technical issues.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has also specified which fields can be edited during the JEE Main 2025 correction window. Certain fields, including mobile number, email address, permanent/present address, emergency contact details, and photographs, cannot be modified. Applicants should exercise extra caution while filling out these details.
The following fields can be changed during the correction window:
Editable Fields (Any one can be changed):
- Name
- Mother’s Name
- Father’s Name
Editable Fields (All can be changed if needed):
- Class 10/Equivalent Details
- Class 12/Equivalent Details
- PAN Number
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Category
- Sub-Category
- PwD Status
- Signature
Additionally, candidates can make changes to the paper, medium of examination, and exam city preferences during the correction window.
The NTA has stated that exam cities will be assigned based on the candidates’ permanent and present addresses, and it is not obligated to strictly adhere to the preferences indicated by the applicants.
If any changes made during the correction window result in an increased application fee, candidates must pay the additional amount at the time of making corrections. The updates will only be finalized after successful payment.
However, if the corrections lead to a reduced application fee, no refunds will be issued by the agency.
