After the Yamaha R15 V4 was launched with major updates in 2021, it was obvious the MT-15 would follow suit soon. And now, Yamaha dealers across India have commenced bookings for the motorcycle, suggesting that it would be launched soon.
The booking amount for the MT-15 Version 2.0, as it is likely to be called, varies between Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 depending on the dealer. According to dealers, the MT-15 V2 will be available in new colours. But that’s not all the updates it is expected to get.
ust like the R15 V4, the new MT-15 is likely to sport upside-down forks, unlike the conventional units it currently comes with. It could also come equipped with features like a quick-shifter and traction control like its faired sibling. And if we were to speculate, Yamaha would also tweak the design a bit, and line it with the bigger MT series.
That said, we wouldn’t have to wait long for details as we expect the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 to make its debut soon, sometime in the next couple of months. With all the updates, the updated motorcycle will cost a premium over the current model costs Rs 1.46 lakh, ex-showroom.
