Nikita Porwal, from Madhya Pradesh, has been crowned Femina Miss India 2024, with Rekha Pandayy, representing the Union Territories, as the first runner-up. Nikita, who began her career as a TV anchor at 18, is now an accomplished actor with years of experience. She was crowned by Nandini Gupta, last year’s titleholder, and Neha Dhupia presented her with the Miss India sash.
The grand finale took place on Wednesday night in Mumbai, where former Miss India Sangeeta Bijlani dazzled the audience with a stellar performance and walked the runway. Notable attendees included actor Neha Dhupia, dancer Raghav Juyal, and other celebrities. Anusha Dandekar served on the jury panel for the event.
This year’s Miss India pageant launched a nationwide talent search, with auditions held across the country. After several rounds of auditions and grooming in the pageant’s boot camp, 30 state finalists advanced to compete in the grand finale. Nikita Porwal, the winner, will now represent India at the upcoming Miss World pageant.

The Miss India pageant, renowned for crowning five previous Miss World winners—Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000), and Manushi Chhillar (2017)—celebrated its 60th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, the Miss India Organization released a musical anthem titled “Rise of Queen,” which is now available on streaming platforms worldwide.
