Twitter's new owner Elon Musk announced on Tuesday that people will have to pay US$8 per month for a verified blue tick on the microblogging site. Verified Twitter users will also get priority in replies, mentions and searches, which is "essential to defeat spam/scam". They will also be able to post longer videos and audios and watch half the ads.
