Yogi’s Ambitious Plan To Hire IIT-IIM Grads For UP

The Yogi government has hired 105 professionals — who will be called Udyami Mitra.

In order to facilitate industrialists in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has hired graduates from IITs and IIMs to bridge the gap between departments to expedite the implementation of investment proposals worth Rs 35,000 lakh crore received by the state government through the UP Global Investors Summit 2023. The Yogi government has hired 105 professionals — who will be called Udyami Mitra. These professionals were selected from top institutes in India and abroad and they are likely to get their offer letters from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on May 26. The hiring of Udyami Mitra is aimed to fast-track the implementation of investment proposals and ensure that incoming industrialists do not face any hurdles in establishing their units in the state. From assisting the industrialists in getting clearances to informing them about the government’s incentives — Udyami Mitra, as the name suggests, will work as a “friend” for the investors.

How THESE 105 Udyami Mitra Were Shortlisted

The post invited applications from candidates with an MBA degree with a minimum of 60 per cent marks. The candidates must be fluent in both Hindi and English languages and should be within the age bracket of 25 to 40. A total of 1,387 applications were received out of which 709 candidates appeared for the computer proficiency test, an official said. Finally, 105 candidates were shortlisted, out of which 87 were male and 16 female candidates were selected. The candidates are likely to get their offer letters on May 26. The 105 Udyami Mitra will be given a training of 14 days and thereafter they will be allocated assignments.

What Roles Will THESE Udyami Mitra Will Be Assigned

The selected candidates will be assigned roles at the district level, state headquarters and also at the Invest UP office to facilitate the industrialists at all levels. Out of the total 105 candidates, 70 would be assigned at the district level, 25 at the state headquarters and 10 at the UP Invest offices.

The candidates have been hired for a tenure of one year and if required their services can be extended further. The candidates will be getting a salary of Rs 70,000 per month, excluding perks.
