The head of the Labour Party, Keir Starmer, is all set to succeed Rishi Sunak as British Prime Minister. In fact, exit polls on Thursday too indicated that the largest opposition party in Britain, the Labour Party, would probably win the general election with a landslide.
The 61-year-old, Keir Starmer, lawyer by profession, was honoured by the late Queen Elizabeth II for his services to law and criminal justice. In 2015, he was elected to the London Parliament for the first time.
Starmer has two kids and his wife, Victoria, works for the National Health Service (NHS).

It is said that the Labour Party’s fortunes have turned around under Sir Keir Starmer, following a poor showing in the 2019 general election. His efforts have resulted in a restoration of the party’s ties with the sizable Indian diaspora, which were damaged by Jeremy Corbyn’s perceived anti-India attitude on Kashmir.
He started to move closer to the establishment in 2003, with a job ensuring police in Northern Ireland followed human rights laws. He was named director of public prosecutions (DPP) for England and Wales five years later, during the tenure of Labour’s Gordon Brown as prime minister.
Starmer oversaw the prosecution of teenage rioters involved in unrest around England between 2008 and 2013, as well as the prosecution of journalists for phone hacking and MPs misusing their allowances.
