Delhi Elections: All India Imam Association’s Sajid Rashidi Claims He Voted for BJP

In a video shared by BJP leader Amit Malviya, Maulana Sajid Rashidi, Chairman of the All India Imam Association, stated that he voted for the BJP in the Delhi Assembly election.

Amit Malviya, in a post on X, remarked, “Sajid Rashidi of the All India Imam Association says he voted for the BJP in the Delhi Assembly election. This is not an isolated instance, and the so-called ‘secular’ parties should be worried if Muslims also start supporting the BJP in a big way.”

Most exit polls on Wednesday predicted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to form the next government in Delhi, with the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) trailing behind. They also indicated that the Congress is likely to continue its poor performance in the assembly elections.

While the exit polls differed on the extent of BJP’s lead, one survey suggested the party could secure 51-60 of Delhi’s 70 assembly seats. However, two exit polls projected an AAP victory. The predictions were released following the conclusion of voting in the Delhi assembly elections on Wednesday.

Exit polls have projected varying outcomes for the Delhi Assembly elections, with most predicting a BJP victory while some foresee a close contest with AAP.
