In a social media post, Lenskart co-founder and CEO Piyush Bansal said that the company is looking for 25-acres of land for its ‘mega factory’ project. Their requirement mentioned that the land should be within 60 km of Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.
“Lenskart is seeking 25 acres of land within 60 km of Kempegowda Bengaluru International Airport for the construction of its next Mega Factory. If any company is interested in selling factory land near Bengaluru airport, please email: [email protected],” said Bansal in a LinkedIn post at 11:45am on April 9.
Karnataka Industries Minister M B Patil posted on X, with a screenshot of the CEO’s post, within five minutes.
He wrote, “Karnataka is the ideal destination! @peyushbansal @Lenskart_com. The Industries Department is committed to supporting and facilitating all your requirements. Concerned officials will reach out immediately.”
According to PTI, the Minister provided necessary instructions to officials, directing them to help Bansal in the setting up of the factory in Bengaluru. The post and the gesture by the Minister was appreciated by many on social media.
