Panchayat Season 4 Cast Fees Revealed: Here’s How Much Each Star Earned Per Episode
The beloved web series Panchayat made a grand return with its fourth season, continuing to capture hearts with its relatable rural narrative and stellar performances. Featuring a talented ensemble cast including Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sanvikaa, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, and Pankaj Jha, the show boasts an ever-growing fan base.
According to a recent NDTV report, Jitendra Kumar, who plays the earnest sachiv Abhishek Tripathi, is the highest-paid actor of the season, reportedly charging Rs 70,000 per episode. Following him is veteran actress Neena Gupta, who essayed the role of Manju Devi and allegedly earned Rs 50,000 per episode.
Raghubir Yadav, iconic as Pradhan Ji, is said to have received Rs 40,000 per episode. Meanwhile, Chandan Roy, known for his role as the lovable Vikas, earned a total of Rs 1.6 lakh for the entire season. However, it’s important to note that these figures have not been independently verified by News18 Showsha.
As for the storyline, Panchayat Season 4 dives into the heated local elections in Phulera, where Manju Devi and Kranti Devi emerge as rival candidates. The election becomes a village-wide spectacle, dominated by their husbands Pradhan Ji and Banrakas, who fuel the chaos with political theatrics, sly strategies, and plenty of drama.
Panchayat Season 4 Review: Mixed Reactions, Stellar Cast Let Down by Sluggish Plot
Panchayat Season 4 has garnered mixed reactions from viewers and critics alike. While the cast continues to shine, the storytelling this season has left many underwhelmed. News18 Showsha rated the series 4 stars, acknowledging the show’s potential but pointing out notable shortcomings.
In its review, News18 Showsha wrote: “The biggest letdown this season is the sluggish pacing and narrow focus. The entire narrative revolves around the election battle, with little to no development in the other subplots that once gave Panchayat its layered charm. We’re left waiting until the second half of the final episode just to find out the election results — by then, the excitement has long worn off.”
The review also noted a dip in the show’s emotional and comedic essence: “The show’s signature blend of humour, heart and simplicity is largely absent. Even the potential to explore the dynamic between Neena Gupta and Sunita Rajwar – two power-packed performers – is missed. Sunita, who brings a natural fire to her character, deserved more screen time and meaningful interaction with Neena’s Manju Devi.”
Despite its loyal fan base and strong performances, Panchayat 4 appears to have struggled with pacing and plot depth, leaving many hoping for a stronger comeback in the next season.
