The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi’s server hack that had cause national worry, also delaying medical care for hundreds at the top medical institute in India, has now a China, Hong Kong twist.In its probe into the server hack, the Delhi Police has written to the CBI seeking details from Interpol about the IP addresses of email IDs originating from China and Hong Kong.
On December 14, a government official had said that the cyber attack on the AIIMS-Delhi server was done by Chinese hackers.
“AIIMS Delhi server attack was done by Chinese, FIR details that attack originated from China. Out of 100 servers (40 physical and 60 virtual), five physical servers were successfully infiltrated by hackers. The damage was It is deteriorating but is now contained, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) personnel told news agency ANI. The data in five servers has now been retrieved successfully.

Internet services were suspended as per the recommendations of the investigating agencies. Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), Delhi Cyber Crime Special Cell, Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, Intelligence Bureau, CBI and National Investigation Agency are probing the incident.
The attack affected the hospital’s outpatient and inpatient digital services, including smart laboratory, billing, report generation and appointment systems.
