High-frequency and quantitative trading firms on Thursday offered salaries as high as ₹4 crore to top talent from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), as the placement season at premier engineering schools in the country kicked off.
A student member of the placement team at IIT-Kanpur said, “Jane Street has supplied around ₹4 crore to a student of our college.” Mails sent to both IIT-Kanpur and Jane Street remained unanswered.
