The Odisha tragedy has killed at least 275 so far, and has injured over 1,100. The accident involved three trains — the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Kolkata-Chennai Coromandel Express and a goods train.
The Union Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday said that the railway board has recommended a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the horrific triple train accident.
The restoration work is complete, and the overhead electrification work has started at the accident site in Balasore.
