Other Sectors

In other industries, minimum wages for highly skilled workers will range between ₹1,196.69 and ₹989 per day, while unskilled workers are expected to earn between ₹743 and ₹899.09 per day, depending on the sector and zone.

In the fiscal year 2022-23, the state government had issued revised wage notifications for 34 Scheduled Industries. However, these notifications were challenged by the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) in the Karnataka High Court. The court quashed the earlier notifications and directed the government to re-calculate minimum wages in line with the Supreme Court’s guidelines and issue fresh notifications—leading to the latest draft.

The draft is now open to feedback before final implementation.
