Kavitha paid ₹100 cr bribe to AAP: ED

Hyderabad:The Enforcement Directorate probing the Delhi liquor scam alleged that K. Kavita, Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLC and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter, was one of the biggest beneficiaries of the scam apart from the Aam Aadmi Party.The other two beneficiaries are ‘Aurobindo’ Sarath Chandra Reddy and YSR Congress MP Maguntha Srinivasaula Reddy.

The ED, in its charge sheet citing its investigation and statements recorded by various persons involved in the scam, alleged that the “South Group” comprising the above three persons, had given Rs 100 crore to the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP for gain. Gave bribe of Rs. control over liquor business in the national capital.

Arun Pillai, who ED has accused of being benami of Kavitha in Indospirit, revealed in his statement that Kavitha and Vijay Nair met at The Oberoi Maidens and discussed recovery of bribe given to AAP. He reveals that he was representing Kavita at Indospirit. Sameer Mahendru, another partner of Indospirit, also corroborated Pillai’s version in his statements.
