WPL Auction 2023 Live Updates: Smriti Mandhana was the first player to go on the floor and she remains the most expensive buy thus far, having been acquired by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for ₹3.4 crore. RCB broke the bank in the first round of bidding, buying Australia and New Zealand stalwarts Ellyse Perry and Sophie Devine in addition to Mandhana. India captain Harmanpreet Kaur was acquired by the Mumbai Indians. Delhi Capitals then had a busy second session, acquiring Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma and Meg Lanning.
