Amit Shah Criticizes Soren Government at BJP Manifesto Launch, Promises to Curb Infiltration
At the BJP manifesto launch in Ranchi, Amit Shah criticized the Hemant Soren government, stating that under its rule, Jharkhand’s tribals feel unsafe, particularly due to unchecked infiltration from Bangladesh. Shah emphasized that the BJP would put a stop to this infiltration.
“Under Hemant Soren’s administration, the safety of Jharkhand’s tribals is compromised,” Shah stated. “The tribal population in areas like Santhal Pargana is decreasing. Infiltrators are entering, luring our daughters into marriages, and occupying land. If this continues, neither the culture, employment, land, nor daughters of Jharkhand will remain secure. This is why BJP is committed to the slogan of protecting ‘Roti, Beti, Maati’ (livelihood, daughters, land).”
Shah further accused the Soren government of excessive appeasement policies, highlighting incidents like attacks on Kanwariyas in Lohardaga, bans on Kirtan and Bhajans during Ram Navami, stone-pelting during Ram Navami processions, temple damages in Sahibganj, and anti-Hindu slogans in Jamshedpur. “This government has crossed all limits of appeasement,” he added. “Under BJP’s rule, those responsible for such acts will face the law, and no one will dare to threaten Jharkhand’s harmony.”
Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized that while the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be implemented in Jharkhand, the state’s tribals will be excluded from its ambit, ensuring their cultural identity and practices are protected.
Detailing the BJP’s promises, Shah announced that the party would provide two free LPG cylinders to residents during Diwali and Rakshabandhan.
“Under the ‘Gogo Didi Scheme,’ women will receive ₹2,100 per month. Additionally, free LPG cylinders will be given on Diwali and Rakshabandhan, with each subsequent cylinder priced at ₹500. We are also committed to creating 5 lakh employment opportunities for the youth of Jharkhand,” he stated.
Taking a firm stance against corruption, Shah assured voters that a BJP government would take stringent action against those involved in paper leaks, promising to deal with the “paper leak mafia” with zero tolerance.
“The paper leak mafia has devastated the future of our youth. If a BJP government is formed, we will deal with the paper mafia decisively,” he declared. “Just look at Assam, where the BJP government has successfully halted infiltration.”
Jharkhand is set to hold Assembly elections in two phases on November 13 and 20. The vote counting for these elections will take place on November 23, coinciding with the counting of votes in Maharashtra, where elections will be held in a single phase on November 20.
