The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025 on May 18, 2025. According to the schedule, Paper 1 will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Paper 2 will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
To secure admission into various programs offered by IITs, candidates must appear for the JEE Advanced exam, which consists of two papers—Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper is three hours long, and candidates are required to attempt both. The exam is conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, with eligibility limited to two attempts within two consecutive years.
To be eligible for JEE Advanced, candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2000. However, a five-year age relaxation is provided for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, making them eligible if born on or after October 1, 1995.
Applicants must also rank among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates across all categories in the BE/BTech Paper of JEE Main 2025. Additionally, they should have appeared for their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2024 or 2025, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
JEE Advanced 2025: How to Apply
Step 1: Go to the official website at jeeadv.ac.in.
Step 2: Visit the ‘JEE Advanced registration portal’ and log in using your JEE (Main) 2025 application number and password.
Step 3: Complete the application form and upload the necessary documents.
Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the form.
Step 5: Download the completed form and take a printout for your records.
JEE Advanced: Registration Fee
The application fee for JEE Advanced differs based on candidate categories. Female candidates (of all categories), along with SC, ST, and PwD candidates, are required to pay Rs 1450. All other candidates must pay Rs 2900.
For foreign nationals, including PIO/OCI, the fee is USD 90 for candidates residing in SAARC countries and USD 180 for those from non-SAARC countries.
