Dabur Group Chairman Mohit Burman and Director Gaurav Burman are among the 31 individuals accused in an FIR filed by the Mumbai Police in the Mahadev betting app case.
India Today reported that in the FIR, Mohit Burman’s address is listed in Fort Mumbai, where one of his investment company offices is situated.
According to the report, the complainant’s statement in the FIR mentioned that Mohit and Gaurav are alleged to have connections with a bookie involved in match-fixing within cricket leagues.
London residents Chander Agarwal and Dinesh Khambat are identified as the primary bookies for match-fixing in cricket matches that are held in India.
Chander Agarwal, however, has undisclosed partnerships in the leagues and receives assistance from Hemant Sood, who is a resident of Dubai and Rohit Kumar Murgoi.
The FIR also stated that the Burman’s had links to Rohit Kumar Murgoi and Dinesh Khambat.
The documents indicate that the industrialists hold equity stakes in a team within the cricket league and have collaborated with another accused.
The complainant further asserts that the ongoing investigation will unveil additional details and evidence concerning the industrialists’ involvement in match-fixing.
The Mahadev betting app case is being probed by Enforcement Directorate (ED).
