Three coaches of the Secunderabad-Shalimar Superfast Express (Train No. 22850) derailed near Nalpur Station in Howrah, West Bengal, on Saturday morning. According to Omprakash Charan, the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of South Eastern Railway, the incident affected three coaches, including the B1 coach.

The derailment, reported early this morning, has raised concerns among passengers and authorities. However, Om Prakash Charna confirmed that no injuries or fatalities have been reported. The railway authorities quickly dispatched accident relief and medical relief trains from Santragachi and Kharagpur to the site, along with buses to transport passengers to Kolkata.

“At 5:31 am, the Secunderabad-Shalimar Weekly Express derailed while moving from the middle line to the down line. A parcel van and two passenger coaches went off the tracks. No major injuries or casualties have been reported. Approximately 10 buses have been arranged to continue the passengers’ journey,” Charna stated.
