The GATE 2025 exam, scheduled for February 1 and 2, and the JAM 2025 exam, scheduled for February 2, were initially set to take place in Prayagraj. However, due to the Mahakumbh, both exams will now be held in Lucknow on the same dates. This change was confirmed by a notice on the official GATE 2025 and JAM 2025 websites.
The notice stated, “Given the difficulties expressed by candidates in reaching Prayagraj due to the large number of devotees attending the Mahakumbh on February 1 and 2, 2025, the exams scheduled in Prayagraj have been moved to Lucknow on the respective exam dates.”

For GATE 2025, five exam centres have been relocated from Prayagraj to Lucknow, while four exam centres for JAM 2025 have been shifted.
